Get ready for SATs with our teaching and learning guidance for Year 2 – Year 6 pupils. Everything you need to know about the Year 2 and Year 6 Assessments will be taught at SLH and this includes Maths and English.

SATs which means Standard Assessment Tests and also known as National Curriculum Tests

are compulsory at Key Stage 2 (Year 6). This covers English Reading, English grammar, punctuation and spelling and Maths. Other subjects including Writing, Speaking and Listening and Science are teacher assessed.

At SLH we focus on equipping our young students with a solid foundation of numeracy and literacy through learning packs, workbooks and past papers to help them understand and improve from one key stage to another which in turn could predict the likelihood of children achieving specific results in their GCSE.
